Ron Nayot is a co-founder and Managing Director of Diversis Capital. Prior to co-founding Diversis in 2013, Ron spent 10 years in various corporate finance roles closing over 20 transactions primarily in mergers and acquisitions. Ron brings extensive due diligence, negotiations and valuation expertise to the team. Ron is the Chairman of ServicePower and sits on the boards of ArrowStream, Caligor Rx, Blue Software and Martin Archery.
His most recent experience was with The Gores Group where he was involved in the evaluation and execution of certain Gores acquisitions and divestitures focusing on investments in technology and telecommunications, business services and consumer products. At Gores, Ron worked on several corporate carve-outs, take privates, PIPE’s, divestitures and bankruptcies, ranging in size from $50m to $10B in revenue. At Gores, Ron completed 7 platform transactions and worked with Gores’ portfolio CEOs and CFOs in assessing potential add-on acquisitions. Ron was one of the original team members which formed the Gores small capitalization fund.
Prior to joining Gores, Ron was with American Capital Ltd. in their leverage buyouts group. At American Capital, Ron was responsible evaluating and conducing diligence on various acquisition targets focusing on investments in healthcare, technology and business services. Ron also was involved in the evaluation, negotiations and restructuring of various American Capital debt investments as well as the formation of several portfolio initiatives.
Ron was born and raised in Canada and graduated with Honors with a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario.
In his free time, Ron enjoys golf, tennis and spending time with his family. He is also an active board member of the Private Equity Association of Los Angeles.
