Steve has 35 years of senior management experience in a combination of large cap and middle market companies. For the first 15 years of his career, Steve’s path towards General Management came at blue chip consumer products companies such as The Clorox Company, Blistex Inc and Armor All. Steve was named an Executive Officer of Armor All Products Corporation, a $300M publicly held manufacturer of automotive appearance chemical products.
Over the past 20 years, Steve has served as CEO for an array of privately held and private equity backed middle market consumer and industrial product companies. In these roles, Steve has successfully scaled businesses by implementing “best in class” operating practices across all functional disciplines, upgrading management teams and strengthening organization cultures to facilitate accelerated growth. In addition to his line management experiences, Steve also spent time as an Operating Partner for The Riverside Company, an industry agnostic PE firm focused on middle market investments.
Steve has developed a specific expertise in transitioning customer driven, commoditized businesses to consumer driven enterprises through the development of proprietary product offerings supported by sophisticated marketing/sales programs. Steve has experience in dealing with all major distribution channels including big box DIY, mass merchandisers, department stores, warehouse clubs, grocery, food service, drug stores and automotive parts stores.
