Kishore Devarakonda has over 20 years of strategy and operations experience in the software and technology space and has held multiple executive and C-level positions within private equity portfolio companies. As an Operating Partner at Diversis, Kishore focuses on operational diligence, investment thesis development, and post-investment value creation initiatives. Kishore uses his extensive knowledge of software-focused operational best-practices and strategic insights to assist Diversis’ portfolio executives in driving revenue and ebitda growth, operational efficiencies, M&A, and change management.
Prior to Diversis, Kishore led strategy and operations at K1 Investment Management, and also held senior operating roles at Vista Equity Partners and its portfolio companies. Kishore’s most significant operational roles at K1 and Vista include Chief Operating Officer for Nexonia and ChiroTouch (K1 portfolio companies), and Chief of Staff for Bullhorn (Vista portfolio company). At Nexonia and Chirotouch, Kishore led all operations and transformed their go-to-market models to more than double revenue and EBITDA within 24 months of acquisition. At Bullhorn, Kishore built and managed customer success and services operations functions to accelerate recurring revenue growth and customer retention, and also integrated multiple competitive and product acquisitions. Kishore’s efforts at K1 and Vista led to an avg. 4.5x cash-on-cash return on these investments.
Additionally, Kishore was head of Strategy and Business Transformation at Micro Focus, where he drove acquisition of The Attachmate Group, and led operational initiatives to spur organic growth from Micro Focus’ portfolio of legacy software assets. Earlier in his career, Kishore also worked as a tech-focused strategy consultant with L.E.K., and as a software engineer/project manager for Motorola in the wireless telecom industry.
Kishore has an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a masters’ and beachelors’ degrees in Computer Science from Clarkson University and Birla Institute of Technology respectively.
