Ken Caton is a technology savant with over 20 years of experience in information technology, infrastructure, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, transition planning and execution, IT governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management. He has a proven history of solving business problems with a combination of process and technological innovations. He has a unique gift for taking IT concept and translating them into business, financial, legal or common language thereby overcoming obstacles in negotiations.
Ken has extensive experience in managing technical transitions and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. He has led multiple transitions to quickly onboard acquired companies, consolidate tools, processes, controls and platforms, removing dependencies on previous parent companies while creating positive impact to the business and its customers.
Ken focuses on security, compliance and risk management within the continuously evolving IT landscape as he develops and executes strategic plans. Having created control programs, performed assessments and audits for many years, he has successfully safeguarded companies and clients’ intellectual property. This experience has been in the areas of Life Sciences, US and EU regulations, which includes Sarbanes-Oxley, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, ISO 27001/2, GAAP, GAAS, GxP, GAMP, SOC, and NIST.
Ken has initiated, fostered and managed partnerships with strategic suppliers. He has extensive industry knowledge of the tools, services and proven partners available to achieve the desired results. Additionally, he ensures that the costs of these products and services align with the value they are providing.
Ken continues to lead multiple global IT teams for both internal business and client-based services. Most recently he has founded Conscia Consulting LLC, a company providing technology and compliance advisory services.
Ken earned a BA in Computer Science from DePaul University, graduating with honors.
